You'll typically see growth begin within 2 weeks. This initial phase involves the emergence of up to 3 flower stalks with leaves.

Yes, they are very alive! Don't be mistaken, the plant still needs nutrition and water, but it already has access to that inside itself.
Is it safe to ship?
Yes, amaryllis bulbs are extremely hardy, safely handling moderate temperature changes and a lack of airflow for extended periods of time.
Why use beeswax?
Normal wax-dipped amaryllis bulbs use paraffin wax, a non-renewable petroleum-based product. They will often also wrap the base of the bulb in a rubber balloon before dipping it.
By dipping our bulbs in beeswax, we not only ensure that our product is made from sustainable materials, it also helps to maintain the bulb's health. Beeswax is well known to have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

How do I care for it?
We recommend room temperature with some indirect sunshine.
How long does it last?
All phases of the bulb should last between 2-3 months, but can sometimes go even longer.
You can expect amaryllis bulbs to show signs of growth within the first week. Over the next 4-8 weeks, It will grow up to 3 elegant stalks with leaves - each stalk usually having 4 flowers that bloom for 2-3 weeks.
